Do I need a payment gateway?
If you have a website and want to accept credit cards, you will need a payment gateway in addition to your merchant account, as the merchant account itself is useless without one! The gateway allows your website to securely pass the card information onto the processing company. Gateways work in conjunction with shopping carts or can act on its own as a Secure Order Form (only recommended for site with a few products).
Does the payment gateway allow me to process off-line sales?
Yes, both our gateway options include a Virtual Terminal which allows for the manual entry of credit card sales. Such entries would include orders taken over the phone or mail, etc.
What gateways can you work with?
Paynet Systems can work with any gateway that is certified on Vital or Buypass networks. Almost all major gateways are certified on Vital. Therefore, we can provide merchant accounts for most gateways.
Are you compatible with Oscommerce?
Yes, both Skipjack and Plug'n Pay easily integrate with Oscommerce.
Can you integrate with QuickBooks?
Yes, Plug'n Pay integrates with QuickBooks.

Additionally, VISA's CISP program is designed to protect VISA cardholder data by applying stringent security standards on members, merchants and service providers. Both gateways utilized by Paynet Systems are CISP compliant.

Can I accept checks using a gateway?
Yes, Plug'n Pay's gateway offers a check service that is integrated directly to their interface.
What is the Virtual Terminal that is included with the gateway?
The Virtual Terminal allows you to process sales you may receive off-line. Such sales may include orders taken over the phone or accepted via mail.
Can I provide digital download management using the gateway?
Plug'n Pay offers a simple, secure solution for any type of customer who offers information or software for sale online. Once the transaction is authorized, Digital Download Delivery provides the purchaser with access to a unique "vanishing URL" to complete the download.
Can I provide Membership Management Services using the gateway?
Yes, Plug'n Pay offers a dynamic, easy-to-use online tool that enables membership or subscription-based eCommerce sites to manage their subscriber base, and to enable members to register for events.
What shopping carts are you compatible with?
Compatibility is determined by the cart/application provider, not the gateway. The best method of determining compatibility would be to check with the cart provider you plan on using.

Does the Virtual Terminal Provide AVS and CVV2 fraud protection?
Yes, both AVS (Address Verification Service) and CVV2 (Card Verification Value) can be utilized using the Virtual Terminal.
